If you are planning to apply for the PMAY housing scheme, you can do it online through its official portal. Here are the steps –
Step 1: Visit the official portal of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Step 2: Choose either ‘benefits under 3 components’ or ‘for slum dwellers’ from the citizen assessment section.
Step 3: Provide your Aadhaar number and hit the ‘submit’.
Step 4: Enter all your required personal information on the next page, i.e. an application form.
Step 5: Review the entered information and submit this application by entering the Captcha code.
Once you conclude the application, save it or take a printout for future reference, i.e. checking the PMAY list.
Apart from knowing the application process of this PMAY scheme, you should also know its PMAY Eligibility parameters.
PMAY Eligibility criteria
You or your immediate family members must not be owners of a pucca house anywhere in India.
The annual family income of your family must not exceed Rs.18 lakh.
You cannot get a PMAY subsidy on already built houses.
You must not apply for other Government housing schemes and receive benefits.
All statutory towns mentioned under Census 2011 will come under this scheme.
To conclude, once you have qualified for this scheme, you can then apply for home loan with any leading financier.
